The Polaroid Project dates back to the early 2000s in Iowa City, IA and Brooklyn, NY as an ongoing autobiographical collaboration with a group of friends, with randomly-numbered captions by Shaun Frente. Titling each image as a unique “party” declares that any moment between friends is a party: a celebration of human connection, of playfulness, of joy for its own sake.
